3 Fonteinen

3 Fonteinen was founded in about 1887 as a café and geuzestekerij, a place where geuze is produced by blending old and new lambics, acquired from other breweries. The enterprise was bought by Gaston De Belder in 1953, who expanded it with a restaurant and left it to his sons Armand and Guido in 1982. In 1998, a brewery installation was bought. Apart from using its own lambic, 3 Fonteinen uses lambic made by Boon, Girardin and Lindemans for its geuze.

Abbaye de Leffe

Leffe, a brewing tradition since 1240. Founded in 1152, Notre-Dame de Leffe was an abbey of Premonstratensian canons, i.e. monks living in a community characterised by its hospitality.

Abbaye de st Remy

The Trappist Abbey of Rochefort or Abbey of Notre-Dame de Saint-Rémy, which belongs to the Cistercians of Strict Observance, is located in Rochefort in the province of Namur (Wallonia, Belgium). The abbey is famous for its spiritual life and its brewery, which is one of few Trappist beer breweries in the world. Life in the abbey is characterised by prayer, reading and manual work, the three basic elements of Trappist life. The motto of the abbey is Curvata Resurgo.

Abbaye des Rocs

Abbaye des Rocs (9% alcohol vol.) is a pure malt beer, with no added sugar. The entire range of tastes is directly linked to the double fermentation, the precise quantities of malts (7 types) as well as the mixtures of three kinds of hops (Belgian, German and Czech). Its colour is a striking deep and majestic red. Its taste is rich and full of subtlety. It is tasted like a red wine with which it shares the ruby colour without having the tannin. It develops a strong sweet smell.

Abbaye Val Dieu

In 1997 the Brasserie de l'Abbaye du Val-Dieu was established in the abbey farm, and brews a range of abbey beers in the tradition of the former Val-Dieu monks. Their range includes a Belgian blonde (6%), brune (8%), triple (9%), as well as a grand cru (10.5%).


For its abbey beers, Affligem Brouwerij draws inspiration from the original recipe created by the abbey, now tweaked to work with modern brewing techniques: the Formula Antiqua Renovata. Quality is paramount,  [Affligem brewery] The "new" brewing hall and only the very best ingredients are used. Beers are brewed with a high quality summer barley malt, and an oast malt that has been dried on the floor of the oast house and contributes rounded aromas.


Alken-Maes is a Belgian brewery created out of the 1988 merger of two small breweries, Maes located at Kontich-Waarloos and Cristal-Alken located at Alken. It was bought by Scottish & Newcastle in 2000, who were taken over by Carlsberg and Heineken in 2007.

Birra Peroni Industriale

Peroni Brewery is a brewing company, founded in Vigevano in Lombardy, Italy in 1846. It has been based in Rome since 1864 and is now owned by the parent company SABMiller brewing group. The company's main brand in Italy is Peroni (4.7% ABV) a pale lager sometimes known as Peroni Red in export markets. However, it is probably best known worldwide for its premium lager, Nastro Azzurro (5.1% ABV), which was the 13th best-selling beer in the United Kingdom in 2010.


Brasserie du Bocq, set up in 1858 by Martin BELOT and has remained independent of any Belgian or foreign brewer. Located in the heart of the Condroz, wonderful tourist region, this dynamic company still uses the traditional manufacturing process of top-fermentation beers with secondary fermentation in the bottle.


Kris Boelens, today’s owner and brewer at Brewery Boelens, took over the beer distributorship from his dad in 1980. During the 1970’s and 1980’s a revival for new and authentic beers emerged. Kris started to put the family’s old brewery back together and upgraded it with some stainless steel tanks, as legislation in Belgium and in Europe guarantees a hygienic brewing process. It was in 1993 that Kris started brewing BIEKEN, his first commercial specialty beer. It was an ale sweetened with honey, following an old family recipe. Bieken is now a well sought after beer in many places around the world. The production is less than 2,000 barrels a year, which makes it a real boutique beer, “hand-made”.


Bosteels Brewery (Brouwerij Bosteels) is a brewery in Buggenhout, Belgium. The brewery was founded in 1791 and is still owned and operated by the same family, now its seventh generation. They brew three beers: Tripel Karmeliet, DeuS, and Pauwel Kwak.

Brasserie d Achouffe

The Brasserie d'Achouffe is a Belgian brewery based in Achouffe. It was founded in 1982 by two brothers-in-law, Pierre Gobron and Christian Bauweraerts, as a hobby. In September 2006, the brewery was bought by the brewery group Duvel Moortgat. Achouffe pruulikoda paikneb Belgia linnas nimega Achouffe. Broeder Jacob

Broeder Jacob® is the result of a search by two passionate beer lovers. Johan Claes kicked off the proceedings. His passion for beer led to his contact with Bruno Verbiest. They together started searching for a beer that would combine the best of the Belgian art of brewing. That is how they came up with a Belgian beer which is striking in taste and character.


In 1906, William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody took his traveling circus on the road to Belgium, performing in Antwerp, Brussels, and half a dozen other cities. Now, more than a hundred years later, a beer that was accidentally brewed as a result of that tour (according to legend, that is) has made its way to Colorado, where the famous buffalo hunter is buried.


The brewery was founded in 1900 by Paul Cantillon, whose father was a brewer as well, and his wife, Marie Troch. As of 2011, the owner is Jean-Pierre van Roy, fourth-generation brewer at Cantillon. Since its foundation the only major change has been a shift to organic ingredients in 1999. Cantillon was one of more than one hundred operating breweries in Brussels at its foundation, and was the only one to remain operational through the 2000s. In 2014, van Roy announced that the brewery would be acquiring more maturation space, effectively doubling production by 2016-17.


Caulier is a brand with long historical roots back to 1848. It still has a strong presence in the collective memory of the Belgium beer aficionados. 7 Belgium beer drinkers out of 10 know the name of Caulier. Today Caulier beers are the only naturally sugar free beers in the market. They are the only light beers that won several competitions.


Chimay Brewery ("Bières de Chimay") is a beer brewery in Chimay, southern Hainaut, Belgium. The brewery is located in the Scourmont Abbey, a Trappistmonastery, and is one of the eleven breweries worldwide that produce Trappist beer. They make three widely distributed ales: Chimay Rouge, Chimay Bleue, and Chimay Blanche; and they make one patersbier exclusively for the monks. The monastery also makes four varieties of cheese.


Tim Cooper describes the brewery as being an “intriguing fusion of modern innovation and Coopers’ brewing tradition,” combining traditional recipes, methods and flavours with cutting edge equipment that leaves nothing to chance. De Dolle Brouwers

De Dolle Brouwers ("The Mad Brewers") is a Belgian brewery, based in Esen in the province of West Flanders. The building housing the brewery is believed to date from 1835 and has a long brewing history since its inception by local doctor Louis Nevejan, having become the Costenoble brewery in approximately 1882 and remaining in that family for three generations. It was defunct when purchased by De Dolle and restored to function as a brewery in 1980.

The use of natural raw materials without using adjuvants or artificial means. Working with traditional methods, without being blind for new technology. In January 2012 brewery Huyghe received a medal of honour from the Province of East-Flanders, as a recognition for their merits in the region. April 2012 saw the culmination of a 7 million investment with the completion of the new brew room and new buildings. Thanks to this investment the brew capacity increased to a maximum of 350,000 HL. 


The Dubuisson brewers are keen to defend the identity and the unique nature of their brewery and their beers within a market dominated by large brewing groups and flooded by a multitude of products. From this viewpoint, they confine themselves to a relatively limited range of beers, but beers that all display a very asserted character and personality. The Brasserie Dubuisson beers are noticeable by very marked aromas and flavours, without compromising or cutting corners.


The brewery's copper boiling kettles date from the 1920s, but there are also a number of pieces of modern equipment in use in the brewhouse. Square, flat-bottomed fermentation tanks of stainless steel are utilized to provide specific flavor characteristics that are evident in the finished beer. Primary fermentation lasts about 5 days, followed by a 1-2 week secondary fermentation. After this, the beer is packaged and warm-aged at the brewery for 6-8 weeks at 73°F(23°C). All of Dupont's beers are naturally carbonated via bottle conditioning.

Duvel Moortgat

Duvel Moortgat Brewery (Brouwerij Duvel Moortgat) is a Flemish family-controlled brewery founded in 1871. Its strong golden pale ale, Duvel, is the company's best known product which is exported to more than 40 countries. Duvel (pronounced [ˈdyːvəl]) is Brabantian, Ghent and Antwerp dialect for devil, the standard Dutch word being duivel [ˈdœy̯vəl].

Frank Boon

Boon Brewery uses the turbid-wort method. At 6 am, we mix ground corn and water and let it settle, before cooking for a few minutes. We add boiling water to the mash, after which the mixture becomes sweeter. We then let the mixture come to rest in the mixing kettle, before tapping the sweet wort to the second boiler. Then it's time to add aged hops for a longer boil. At night, the beer is left in an open cooling vessel.

Greene King

Ale has been a feature of life at our home since at least as far back as 1086. We know this because the Great Abbey's 'cerevisiarii' or ale brewers are mentioned in the Domesday Book. But we've taken the traditional craft of brewing to new heights, producing what is arguably the finest range of cask ales in the country.

Het Anker

Brewery ‘Het Anker’ started brewing beer 5 generations ago in the Grand Beguinage of Mechelen. Brewing Hoegaarden is no simple matter. Respecting the unique brewing process and carefully mixing the finest natural ingredients is the only way to obtain the intriguing character and surprisingly refreshing taste. The beer is fermented twice but isn’t filtered. Hence its cloudy appearance and smooth texture.


InBev was a brewing company that resulted from the merger between Belgium-based company Interbrew and Brazilian brewer AmBev that occurred in 2004. It existed independently until the acquisition of Anheuser-Busch in 2008, that formed Anheuser-Busch InBev (abbreviated AB InBev). InBev had operations in over 30 countries and sales in over 130 countries. Inbev on pruulimisfirma, mis tekkis Belgias baseeruva InterBrew ja Brasiilia pruulija AmBevi liitumisel 2004 aastal. Kalamaja Pruulikoda

The brewery farmhouse in Kerkom (anno 1878) is so much more than just a brewery or a farm. It has become the road house of dreams from walkers, cyclists, beer tasters and pleasure lovers, where everyone has a good time.


Kronenbourg Brewery (Brasseries Kronenbourg) is a brewery founded in 1664 by Geronimus Hatt in Strasbourg, France. The name comes from the area where the brewery relocated in 1850. The company is owned by the Carlsberg Group. The main brand is Kronenbourg 1664, a 5.0% abvpale lager.

La Caracole

The Brasserie Caracole is a Belgian artisanal brewery based in Falmignoul (near Dinant) that is known to warm the water with a wood-fired oven. The bottling and labelling are done manually. The brewery was already existing in 1766 under the name Brasserie Moussoux, then changed its name Brasserie Lamotte in 1941 and was finally taken over in 1992 to become the Brasserie Caracole.

La Trappe

La Trappe, the name of the beer brewed in Koningshoeven, is the only Trappist beer in The Netherlands. Only beer brewed in a Trappist monastery under the supervision and responsibility of the monks may be called 'Trappist beer'. La Trappe is brewed according to traditional methods, from a recipe developed by the Trappist monks of Koningshoeven, using only natural ingredients, such as hops, barley malt and yeast.

The Lefèbvre brewery is present on the Belgian and foreign markets. It offers a rich assortment of products, various flavours and packaging all with the aim of optimum customer satisfaction.


Our beers are brewed exclusively using raw materials of the finest quality: malt, hops, pure water and yeast. They are entirely natural and completely free from additives. Bottle and cask conditioning gives the beers a 100% natural carbonatio.


We have been explaining quite a lot why do we have a dogs in our beer names :-). Actually, dogs are not there by accident. Thanks to multimedia wizards at Pult and music from Riho this story has become alive.

Les 3 Fourquets

Lupulus is a blonde ale with an alcohol proof of 8,5 %, refermented in champagne bottles and in casks. The choice not to filter the beer, as well as not to pasteurize it ensures its taste and aromatic quality. The use of hops in considerable quantities, in the cauldron as well as in full fermentation, gives this liquid gold a freshness and an incomparable bouquet. Store this beer, as it ought to be, next to your beloved Grand-Cru and serve at a temperature between 8 and 12°C (46,4 and 53,6°F).


It’s only in Oudenaarde that you’ll find the microflora that make Liefmans such a unique beer. For centuries, Oudenaarde has been famous for its fruit beers – years ago, there were 20 breweries in the town. Nowhere else on earth will you find such a perfect environment for making fantastic beer. Ainult Oudenaardes leiad sa mikroflorat, mis muudab Liefmansi unikaalseks õlleks. Southwest of Brussels, in the quiet Belgian town of Vlezenbeek, the Lindemans family has been farming and homebrewing as long as anyone can remember. Commercial brewing started in 1822.


The name “Malheur” was not chosen “by accident”. Market research revealed that with its playful double meaning “Malheur” conjured up pleasant connotations and in brief was a name that stuck in people’s minds.  Brewery Malheur is an independent, family brewery.

Malmgard Brewery

On its 500 hectares of fields, Malmgård focuses on organic farming and the development of organic food products.  Apart from more traditional activities, such as forestry, Malmgård nowadays also welcomes visiting tourists and has a micro brewery.  The estate produces its own hydro power.


In 2006 he was a math and physics teacher that started experimenting with hops, malt and yeast back home in his kitchen in Copenhagen. Today Mikkel Borg Bjergsø exports his micro brewed beer to 40 different countries and is internationally acclaimed as one of the most innovative and cutting edge brewers in the world.


The word Mongozo means ‘cheers!’ in the language of the Chokwe people of Africa. Mongozo beer is all about enjoyment to the full and particularly about its surprising unique flavours. Our beers are exotic: they have been developed using ingredients from exotic cultures.

Omer Vander Ghinste

The roots of our brewery date back to May 1892. It was a time when every brewer brewed its own special beer. It was no different in Bellegem, a rural village in West Flanders within a stone’s throw of the French border.


Located within the confines of the Abbey, the Orval Brewery was created in 1931 to finance the enormous reconstruction works of Orval.  It has hired lay workers from the outset, including the master brewer, Pappenheimer, who invented the recipe.  The brewer’s commercial policy is adapted to the values of the monastic community.  Income from Royalties generated from the brand name go to social welfare works and the maintenance of the buildings. Orvali pruulikoda loodi 1931 aastal, et finantseerida hiigelsuurt remonti Orvali kloostris. Võeti tööle kirikutöölisi, kaasaarvatud meisterpruulija Pappenheimer, kes leiutas retsepti. Pruulija kommpertspoliitika on kohandatud munkade keskkonna moraalide järgi. Kõik brändi kasutusmaksude tulu kasutatakse sotsiaalse heaolu tagamiseks ja ehituste remontimiseks.

Oud Beersel

The Brewery Oud Beersel, which started in 1882, is located in Beersel at 10 km from the Brussels city centre, in the southwest of the capital. It is one of the last remaining authentic lambic breweries of Belgium and well known for its lambic beer brewed along traditional brewing methods.


The history of PALM Breweries goes back to 1686. At that time Theodoor Cornet, estate manager of Diepensteyn Castle, was the proprietor of an inn opposite the church in Steenhuffel. He brewed beer and distilled jenever there for his guests, also brewing a heavier “Counts’ beer” for the Lords of Diepensteyn, Counts of Maldeghem-Steenhuffel. In 1747, Anne Cornet converted it into a small top-fermentation village brewery, selling beer to the inhabitants of the village.


"The finest Munich art of brewing since 1634 - Paulaner is Munich tradition” February 24th, 1634 is a special date for the Paulaner brewery. On this date, the Munich commercial brewers filed a complaint with the mayor in order to ban the Paulaner monks of the Neudeck monastery in the Au district from selling their home-brewed beer. They were unsuccessful. This first official reference is to this day still considered the founding date of the Paulaner brewery and has been a vital part of Munich’s culture, tradition and history ever since. "Paulaner on kõige peenem Munichi pruulitraditsiooni, aastast 1634" 24. Veebruar, 1634 on Paulaneri pruulikoja jaoks eiriline kuupäev. Põhjala pruulikoja loomise taga seisavad kolm meest – Peeter Keek, Enn Parel ja Gren Noormets , kes 2011. aasta detsembris pidasid nõu, kui lihtne või keeruline oleks rajada oma pruulikoda, kus korralikku õlut teha. Hiljem kutsuti kampa Tiit Paananen. Pruulikoja õllevalik on Ameerika stiilis- keskmisest humalasem, keskmisest raskem, maitsekas ja ei midagi tavapärast.

Raba Pruulikoda

Hetkel veel "mustlaspruulikoda", mis valmistab väikestes partiides käsitööõlut kõigile, kes hindavad massõlledest erinevat ja maitseküllasemat rüübet.


Rochefort Brewery (Brasserie de Rochefort) is a Belgian brewery which produces three beers designated as Trappist beers. The brewery is associated with the Rochefort Abbey, which originated in the thirteenth century; monks have been brewing beer at Rochefort since the sixteenth century, providing much of the income for the monastery.


In 1821, the four Rodenbach brothers (Pedro, Alexander, Ferdinand and Constantijn) invested in a small brewery in Roeselare, in the West Flanders province of Belgium. The brothers agreed to a partnership for 15 years. At the end of this period, Pedro and his wife, Regina Wauters, bought the brewery from the others and Regina ran the business while Pedro served in the military. Their son Edward later took over the brewery (1864) and, it was during his directorship that the brewery saw great growth.


For more than 4,5 centuries now, Mater has hosted the brewing family Roman, which has perpetuated the brewing tradition from father to son. Officialy, the story of the brewery began back in1545.

Saint Omer

Founded in 1866, the brewery is still sited in the streets of old Saint Omer. It was bought by Andre Pecquer in 1985, who cut the range of products and invested in up-to-date production facilities.  Now they specialise in the light French lager-style beer that appeals to modern tastes. They produce 600 million 25cl green bottles a year.


International award-winning Saltaire Brewery is in Shipley, West Yorkshire. Formed in 2005, it has enjoyed brewing hand crafted ales since 2006. Our beers have won more than 70 trade awards, including two national championship brews and two international gold medals for our Triple Chocoholic Stout.


One of the few breweries where beer is brewed on a yet authentic way, that is, using only natural ingredients, without a filtering system and without pasteurization. Ever since the establishment of the brewery is the quality of the beer on the first place. By strict requirements pertaining to raw materials, the very precise brewing process and the craftsmanship of the Brewers is their ability to make these unique products.   These products really deserve the unique names. The names of the beers are mostly connected with old folk tales as over “The Lamme Goedzak” or about “Simon”. The brewery and its beers are a real monument to beer drinkers.

Silly is a village lying in the Ath, Enghien and Soignies triangle and is crossed by the Sylle, the river from which the village takes its name. Silly possesses a brewery that was founded in 1850 as Cense de la Tour, and that is today operated by the 5th generation.

St. Bernardus

Brewery St.Bernard brews dark and blond abbey ales since 1946. All our beers are brewed with our own yeast, malts of the highest quality and hops from our own hopfield right next to the brewery.

St. Feuillien

St-Feuillien is a top-fermenting beer brewed with extremely pure water. The spring is located under the brewery itself. Only the very best malts and hops are used: for St-Feuillien Blondeand Triple, we use pale malt, and for St-Feuillien BruneRéserve and Cuvée de Noël, a combination of specially selected malts is used.


Fourteen generations of the Sterkens family have been brewing top-fermented beers in the village of Meer in the North of Belgium since 1651. Tempo is one of the largest and longest established beverage companies in Israel. The company manufactures and markets a variety of beverages: In the beer segment, the number one Israeli beer brand, Goldstar, the award winning Maccabee beer, and the most popular premium beer Heineken, as well as famous specialties such as Paulaner, Samuel Adams, Newcastle and Murphy's.

The Musketeers BVBA

The brewery was founded in 2000 by 4 brew-engineers, after being graduated from KaHo St. Lieven in Gent, the best known brewing school of Flanders. Their names: Kristof De Roo, Rikkert Maertens, Stefaan Soetemans and Sven Suys. Just out of University, it was soon pretty clear to them that brew-master jobs are not easy to find in the Belgian beer world. Family traditions and brewing secrets are kept closely guarded within the brewing family. Like the real French Musketeers of the 18th century, the 4 friends bundled their enthusiasm and efforts, and created "the Musketeers brewing company".

Thornbridge Halcyon

Our initial focus was on a range of cask beers that used traditional recipes but provided a modern twist through the use of a wide range of hops, malts and the innovation and passion of the brewing team. After winning a succession of awards ( we have now won over 350 national and international awards)  a new, state of the art, brewery and bottling line was opened at Bakewell in September 2009 to meet with demand and increase our range of beers. 

To Øl

Through several hours in the lab. A shit load of beer, vacuum, freezing, waiting, trial-and-errors and iterations, we have now managed to produce the first To Øl Instant Craft Beer together with our dearest friends at GEA. By using the fact that water and alcohol under vacuum and low temperature goes directly from ice to vapour we have been able to splitt up the  water, alcohol and dry matter (like instant coffee) of the beer. This in an aroma favorable way as we don’t need to add heat (by boiling the beer) and thereby don’t have to poke and stress all the aroma compounds.

Van Eecke

Brewing beer is a question of resting, a question of maturation… Nature takes all the time it needs to give us the best quality ingredients: barley malt, hops, wheat, spices, herbs and water. With plenty of dedication, patience and skill, our brew master takes these fine natural ingredients to a unique brewing process. Brewing is always a matter of combining modern methods with age-old traditions.

Van Honsebrouck

Van Honsebrouck is a Belgian brewery in Ingelmunster, Belgium. Founded in 1865 as Sint-Jozef Brewery, it was renamed to Brewery Van Honsebrouck in 1953. The location of the brewery's building and the whole village of Ingelmunster were razed in 1695 following hostilities between English, French and Spanish soldiers.

Van Steenberge

Like many others of its kind, this brewery originated from a ploughland farm, that was also engaged in brewing beer for its own consumption. The first time this brewery was mentioned on paper was in 1784 under the name of "Brouwerij De Peer".


The original brewery was opened in 1785. At some point in the late 18th or early 19th century, Cornil Cuvelier inherited the brewery, but he died at a young age and his son, Joseph Dominica I succeeded his father in running the brewery. In 1890, the brewery was estimated at 45000 FB, (approximately €175,000). The brewery's clientele was mostly neighbouring villages.

Verhaeghe et Fils

Brewery Verhaeghe (Dutch - Brouwerij Verhaeghe) established in 1875, is a small brewery located in Vichte, West Flanders, Belgium. They specialise in Flanders red ales including Duchesse de Bourgogne, an internationally renowned Flemish red. In addition, their range includes Vichtenaar (the most basic Flemish red of the brewery); Echt Kriekenbier (Vichtenaar with cherries added in to create a kriek style beer); Verhaeghe Pils (the breweries pilsner style beer for local distribution); Cambrinus (a copper coloured hoppy ale); and Christmas-Verhaeghe (the breweries' Christmas style beer).

Vliegende Paard

Being homebrewers for years we decided to participate in a national homebrew competition named “Brouwland Biercompetitie” who took place in April 2011. We participated with our strongest beer which is our Préaris Quadrupel (10%ABV), our version of a trappist beer. Judges were brewmasters from Brewery Dubuisson and Orval. We were crowned best craft beer (home brewed) Belgium 2011. Olles kodus pruulinud aastaid, otsustasime me riiklikul kodupruulimisvõistlusel osa võtta. "Brouwlandi Õllevõistlus" toimus 2011 aasta Aprillis. Me osalesime oma kangeima õllega, mis on Prearis Quadrupel (10% ABV), mis on meie versioon trappistõlust. Kohtunikeks olid pruulimeistrid Orvali ja Dubuissoni pruulikodadest. Meie õlu krooniti 2011 aasta Belgia parimaks käsitööõlleks.

Westmalle Brewery (Brouwerij der Trappisten van Westmalle) is a Belgian trappist brewery located in the Trappist Abbey of Westmalle. It produces three beers, which are designated trappist beer because they follow the rules of the International Trappist Association. The brandWestmalle Tripel has been much copied, and is credited with being the first golden strong pale ale to use the term Tripel.
